Meet the Staff
Each one of our staff members has received at least one teaching degree, regularly attends continuing education seminars and classes, and meets regularly with other teachers in the area to improve teaching. We are a licensed facility and are constantly working to focus on the learning of each individual child. Each staff member would be willing and happy to go the extra mile to make sure that your student is a successful learner.
Pastor Kieselhorst has a Masters Degree in Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He has been a pastor for 20 years and has served congregations in Europe, Oklahoma, and now Westminster, CO. Pastor has been serving SVL since 2008. He is married and has 2 children. He enjoys basketball, baseball, and soccer
Principal & Upper Grades Teacher
Mr. Falck has taught for 16 years, including 7 years as a principal. He holds both his bachelors and masters degrees in education from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. He and his wife Karena have four children. He enjoys spending time outdoors, watching football, and music. Mr. Falck considers it a privilege teaching children about their Savior and encouraging them to be lifelong learners.
Middle Grades Teacher
Mrs. Presser teaches the middle grades and is in her 33rd year of teaching. She has experience in teaching grades 1-8. Mrs. Presser holds a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She is married and has 3 grown children. She enjoys every aspect of teaching, especially the uniqueness of each of God's children. In her spare time, she enjoys CU football and her Leadville cabin.
Lower Grades Teacher
Mrs. Johnson graduated from MLC in 2009. She taught Kindergarten at Christ-St. John’s for 5 years as well as coached all four seasons for the girls’ athletic program. She also taught Kindergarten, directed the musical, and coached volleyball at Frieden’s in Kenosha, WI for a year. She got married in 2015 which brought her out to the beautiful state of Colorado. Mrs. Johnson loves to go hiking and play volleyball. She loves teaching the children about God’s continual love for them and then watching the children show God’s love towards each other.
Mrs. Falck has been teaching for 11 years. She is a 2000 graduate of Martin Luther College. After the birth of twins in 2012, she is excited to get back into the classroom! Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the expressions on her students' faces when they master a concept. In her spare time she enjoys gardening.
Ms. Gut is a teacher and preschool director at SVL. She is a 2002 graduate from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN and has a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary and early childhood education. She has taught in early childhood centers for 9 years with 5 years serving as a director. She enjoys reading, sports, movies and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite part of teaching is watching children learn about truths of God’s plan of salvation for them.
Church & School Secretary
Mrs. Ranger has been working at SVL for over 22 years. She is the glue that holds the school and church together! She has an AA degree in Business from Cerritos Community College and a BS in Accounting from CA State University in Long Beach. She is an invaluable part of the school, assisting all teachers as needed. She has been married to husband Len for 26 years and their two children are graduates of SVL and RMLHS. She loves all the kiddos at Shepherd!
